From the long -standing poverty and debt problems of the farmers who produce rice, the main staple food of Thai people and also an important agricultural export of Thailand. In the area of Khum Thong Sub-District, Lat Krabang District, Bangkok, most people engaged in agriculture including farming, gardening and livestock farming. Most of the rice that is cultivated is hard- ground RD41, commonly used to produce rice flour instead of for consumption. At the time of harvest, paddy is bought by merchants for a low price. In addition, there are other factors that cause farmer’s debt problems. Those are rice varieties, prices of fertilizers, pesticides and higher labor wages. As a result, farmers have little or no money left over when deducting previous wages and expenses also borrowing money to invest in the next cycle of farming. From this problem, the Community committee and farmer groups have adopted a management model of community enterprises, which are: 1. members’ gathering 2. the use of local wisdom combined with technology 3. applying the management model to production, finance and marketing 4. a good leader and innovative thinking 5. interaction with external agencies. Community enterprises use the money from the members’ share to carry out various activities including procuring high quality soft ground rice varieties, namely RD79 rice and jasmine rice, which the government supports as rice produced for export. In addition, members of community enterprises are encouraged to purchase fertilizers at lower than market prices from the Ministry of Commerce. The innovative agricultural technology is being used by drone to spray microorganisms instead of fertilizers and pesticides for safety and to reduce labor costs. Including buying paddy from the farmers at a higher price than the market, then milling and packing them for sale directly to customers. Therefore, it allows community enterprises to set the price as well as receive support from the private sector to continuously purchase agricultural products. The farmers earn more income, reduce debt problems, create jobs, generate more income and produce other agricultural products. In addition, the presence of youth volunteers to help the community enterprises group contributes to the cooperation of the community in building strong communities, which is an important goal for sustainable development of the national economy.
